Path to Success

From the moment I met Ilves-Hockey Oy in John F. Kennedy International Airport I knew that the Lighthouse Tournament was going to be a great success. After a long flight from Helsinki, the hockey team and their families were smiling, but quietly and nervously. Fortunately, everybody got some sleep and their natural exhuberance became very apparent. Half way through the tournament I am incredibly pleased in how smooth everything has gone. The kids have played some great hockey and they seem to be enjoying themselves whether on or off the ice. I can only imagine how much everybody will have as they watch the New York Islanders defeat the Philadelphia Flyers (hopefully). Ilves will be introduced in front of a sold-out Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and have the opportunity to skate on the same ice as the New York Islanders! I hope they can provide you with countless details of this rare treat!
